The Harlem Rockets is a team of talented, well-known, and well-trained players who excel in comedy basketball at its finest.  While other touring comedy basketball teams carry their own team opponents with them, The Harlem Rockets posses a striking advantage…their opponents are made up from the local community’s civic or youth organizations.  This advantage brings more enthusiasm to the audience because the players are members of YOUR organization!!  Unlike other touring teams, The Harlem Rockets focus on audience participation at all of their events.  This is one of the keys to involve young people and their families before, during, and after each game.

The Harlem Rockets also offer their services to the community school system on the weekday of each game.  Having made arrangements with the school department, Sayeed “Rainbow” Muntaqim and The Harlem Rockets will visit the schools to put on demonstrations of their comedic tricks and talents.  After each performance, they present an educational message to students regarding staying in school, peer pressure, and drug and alcohol abuse.

The Harlem Rockets halftime show is second to none.  Twenty to thirty children are gathered from the audience to participate in the halftime fun.  Led by the legendary “Rainbow” Montaqim, children test their basketball skills until there are two finalists, a boy and a girl who receive prizes for their efforts.  Involving children in their community is always a crowd pleaser.

The magic comes alive at each event as The Rockets go through their series of antics and comedy routines.  Direct audience participation is an important aspect of each Harlem Rockets show that brings in the audience as a part of each event.  After each event, the team makes themselves available for autographs and picture-taking opportunities.
